Conor Coady signs new four-year contract at Wolverhampton Wanderers

Championship side Wolverhampton Wanderers announce that defender Conor Coady has signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at Molineux until 2021.

Wolverhampton Wanderers defender Conor Coady has signed a new four-year contract that will keep him at Molineux until 2021.

The former Liverpool reserve, who was signed from Huddersfield Town by Kenny Jackett in July 2015, arrived as a midfielder but has found a new lease of life at the back.

Coady was converted to right-back by Paul Lambert last season but has been impressing under new manager Nuno Espirito Santo at centre-half this term, playing in every Championship game so far.

The 24-year-old told the club's website: "It's something that I wanted to get done as quick as possible.

"It hasn't taken long, it's something that I wanted to get to and I can just focus on playing football. I wanted to sign here and I wanted to commit here, now that I've done that I'm over the moon.

"All I can say at the minute is that I'm really enjoying doing what I'm doing - I'm enjoying learning off the manager and his staff and all the boys who have come in."

Wolves currently sit second in the Championship table and host Barnsley on Saturday.
