Wolves have the chance to lift their fans spirits following their early FA Cup exit with a result against Aston Villa on Saturday.

Wolverhampton Wanderers will be hopeful of overcoming their disappointing FA Cup exit with a positive result against Aston Villa this weekend.

Despite a defeat to Birmingham City in the domestic cup this week, Mick McCarthy's side managed to steal a point from Premier League title challengers Tottenham Hotspur.

McCarthy is expected to make a number of changes that lost to the Midlands side yesterday, with loan signing Emmanuel Frimpong, who is sponsored by Sports Mole until the end of the season, back in the starting lineup along with Steven Fletcher.

Alex McLeish is likely to call on Shay Given, who made his return from a six-week layoff last weekend, with Darren Bent and Gabriel Agbonlahor up front together.

Current form:

Wolves: LDDDLD
Aston Villa: LLDWLD

Possible lineups:

Wolves: Hennessey; Foley, Berra, Johnson, Ward; Kightly, Henry, Frimpong, Jarvis, Edwards; Fletcher

Aston Villa: Given; Hutton, Dunne, Collins, Warnock; Clark, Petrov, Albrighton, Ireland; Agbonlahor, Bent

Sports Mole says: 1-1
