Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Stale Solbakken has vowed to be patient with Jamie O'Hara as the midfielder looks to return to action following a lengthy layoff.
The 26-year-old has not featured for Wolves since undergoing a third hernia operation in March, but he returned to light training earlier this month.
"I don't think we should stress with how far away he is from squad because it's been a long time," said Solbakken.
"We'll try to arrange a behind-closed-doors game in the next seven to 10 days where he can play 30-45 minutes or whatever.
"He's getting there, but it's about getting used to covering spaces on a big pitch that he will struggle with for a few weeks. But the main thing is he doesn't get any setbacks now because that's what's happened before."
O'Hara moved to Molineux from Tottenham Hotspur for a transfer fee of £5m in June 2011.
He made 19 Premier League appearances for Wolves last season, scoring twice.
