Dean Saunders concedes that while Jamie O'Hara should have acted in a better way on Saturday, he is happy to have a player like him in his squad at Wolverhampton Wanderers.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Dean Saunders has jumped to the defence of his midfielder Jamie O'Hara.

The former England youth international was heavily criticised for going straight to the dressing room after Wolves had been relegated to League One at the weekend, rather than remain on the bench to applaud the supporters with his teammates.

However, despite admitting that O'Hara shouldn't have acted that way, Saunders insisted that he is content to have someone with his attitude in the squad.

"People who want to win sometimes can't control themselves. I'd rather have players like that but you have to handle them and manage them," he told the Express & Star.

"Some players can't keep their feelings inside and people don't like the way they act."

Saunders also added that he may fine O'Hara for the incident.
