Mick McCarthy: Don't miss out on London 2012

Mick McCarthy believes that there is no bigger honour than being able to represent your country at the Olympics.

Wolverhampton Wanderers manager Mick McCarthy has urged Premier League players not to miss out on the chance to represent Team GB at the London Olympics.

McCarthy has players within his squad eligible to play for Great Britain at the Games and believes that the opportunity should be taken seriously.

The former Sunderland boss said: "I just can't imagine a bigger honour than being stood on an Olympic podium like Mark Spitz, who won seven golds."

Wolves are currently 16th in the Premier League, one point above the relegation zone.
