Wigan boss Roberto Martinez reveals that he is keen for Franco Di Santo to sign a new deal with the club.

Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has revealed that the club is eager to tie Franco Di Santo down to a new deal sooner rather than later.

The 23-year-old Argentine striker, who is out of contract in the summer, has yet to commit his future to the Latics.

"We all share the same feeling," Martinez told reporters. "We want to work together for a longer period and it's just a matter of making it happen. Hopefully we will do that very soon.

"He knows he can trust the club in many ways because all we have done during his time here is help him with his development."

Di Santo has scored three goals in 13 appearances for Wigan this season.
