Owen Coyle says that Wigan Athletic will not sell any more of their star players during the current transfer window.

Wigan Athletic manager Owen Coyle is adamant that he will not lose any more of his players during the summer's transfer window.

The Latics relegation to the Championship has resulted in them inevitably losing several first-team players, including star striker Arouna Kone to Everton.

Speculation has circulated around the futures of James McCarthy and Shaun Maloney, but Coyle insists that he is not prepared to sell any more of his best players.

"We don't want to lose any of the players at the club," Coyle told the Wigan Observer.

"The ones I have spoken to have certainly intimated they'd like to play their part next year."

Wigan won the FA Cup for the first time ever last term.
