Wigan Athletic lose 2-0 to Spanish side Real Mallorca despite playing well in Sunday's friendly at the DW Stadium.

Wigan Athletic lost 2-0 to Real Mallorca in Sunday's friendly as new signing Ivan Ramis made his debut for the club.

Defender Ramis signed for Wigan on Thursday and was straight into action against his former club.

Despite the eventual scoreline, the Latics dominated possession throughout and created numerous opportunities. Franco Di Santo and Victor Moses came closest for Wigan but ultimately they were unable to break the deadlock.

Mallorca beat Ali Al Habsi twice through Victor Casadesus and Kevin Garcia to score a credible victory at the DW Stadium.
