Roberto Martinez claims that Wigan were not good enough after losing 2-0 to Swansea.

Wigan Athletic boss Roberto Martinez has said that his side were not good enough following their 2-0 defeat to Swansea this afternoon.

Gylfi Sigurdsson scored a goal on either side of half time to take all three points back to the Liberty Stadium, and Martinez admits that he can have no complaints.

"I feel that we weren't strong enough to cope in the manner that we wanted to," the Spaniard told Sky Sports News.

"I thought we started well enough for the first ten, 15 minutes but then Swansea found a little bit of space and were clinical with their first goal. That was an important moment in the game, just before half time.

"In the second half, we put a lot of bodies in front without having the composure to break Swansea down. Overall, we all know we were not good enough."

Wigan remain at the bottom of the Premier League table on goal difference following the defeat.
