Wigan Athletic manager Roberto Martinez has claimed that he expects a response from his players when his side face Norwich City at Carrow Road on Sunday.
Martinez's side drew criticism from owner Dave Whelan following the 2-0 home defeat to Swansea City last week but Martinez is expecting a much-improved performance against Paul Lambert's team.
"The players were really down on Saturday," the Spaniard said. "You could sense it in the dressing room after the game that a great opportunity had passed us.
"The performance was not good enough, but the players are very responsible.
"We have a good group here and they're working harder than ever to get themselves on the road to recovery for the Norwich game, which is how it should be."
The Latics are currently bottom of the Premier League.
