West Ham United have confirmed that goalkeeper Jussi Jaaskelainen has signed a new one-year deal with the club.
The 39-year-old former Finland international arrived at Upton Park in 2012 following a 15-year spell with Bolton Wanderers.
Despite being the Hammers' first-choice shot-stopper at the start of last season, Jaaskelainen made just two appearances in 2014 due to the emergence of Adrian.
"I'm delighted to sign for another season and I'm really looking forward to it," he told the club's official website. "Hopefully I can put in a proper challenge to get a starting place again.
"Physically, I feel good now and I felt good last season so I hope I can carry on from there and play football. You never know what is going to happen next season, but the only thing in my mind is to get myself ready to play."
Jaaskelainen kept eight clean sheets in 18 games last season as West Ham secured a 13th-place finish in the Premier League table.
