Sports Mole looks ahead to West Ham's Premier League clash with Southampton at Upton Park on Saturday.

West Ham United have the chance to break into the European places on Saturday when they host Southampton at Upton Park.

Despite losing out 3-1 to Arsenal in their last match, the Hammers have picked up three wins and a draw from their opening seven games of the campaign.

It hasn't been quite the same return to the Premier League for the Saints, who currently sit 17th in the table.

West Ham will be without Ricardo Vaz Te, who was recently ruled out for three months with a shoulder injury, while Andy Carroll is expected to start in attack following his return from a hamstring problem.

The visitors are missing record signing Gaston Ramirez, but full-back Nathaniel Clyne should be in contention to reclaim a starting spot.

Recent form:

West Ham: LWDDWL

Southampton: LLLWLD

Possible lineups:

West Ham: Jaaskelainen; Reid, McCartney, Collins, Tomkins; Jarvis, Nolan, Noble, Benayoun; Carroll, Cole

Southampton: Gazzaniga; Yoshida, Fonte, Fox, Richardson; Schneiderlin, S Davis, Lallana, Puncheon; Lambert, Rodriguez

Sports Mole says: 2-1
