Report: West Ham United launch new bid for David Moyes

West Ham United make a new approach to Real Sociedad boss David Moyes about succeeding Sam Allardyce as manager, according to a report.

West Ham United have reportedly made a new approach to David Moyes about succeeding Sam Allardyce as manager.

It is thought that the hierarchy at Upton Park are keen to make changes ahead of the club's move to the Olympic Stadium in 2016, with Allardyce to be shown the door.

Rafael Benitez and Slaven Bilic are on a list of alternative targets to Moyes, but West Ham are said to be committed to pursuing the former Everton and Manchester United manager until they are given a definitive answer.

Hammers co-owners David Sullivan and David Gold allegedly want a manager with Premier League experience, who has challenged for trophies and the top four, to succeed Allardyce, with the pair feeling that Moyes fits that profile.

The Scot is currently manager of Spanish side Real Sociedad, having joined them in November.

However, West Ham hope that they can lure Moyes to East London by assuring him that he is first choice to lead them, according to The Telegraph.

West Ham vice-chairman Karren Brady has revealed that the club have not made a decision on Allardyce's future yet.
