David Gold: 'Kieron Dyer cost West Ham United £16m'

West Ham United spent £16m in total on Kieron Dyer, according to the club's co-chairman David Gold.

Co-chairman David Gold has claimed that West Ham United spent £16m in transfer fees and wages on Kieron Dyer.

The 79-year-old made the revelation on the social networking site Twitter last night after a fan of the Hammers had branded Dyer a waste of money.

Dyer arrived at Upton Park from Newcastle United in 2007, but injuries limited him to just 30 league appearances prior to his departure for Queens Park Rangers four years later.

Former England international Dyer is currently appearing in the 15th series of ITV reality show I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here! ID:257687: cacheID:257687:1false2false3false:QQ:: from db desktop :LenBod:restore:1586:
