West Bromwich Albion sign Silvestre Varela on loan from Porto.

West Bromwich Albion have signed Silvestre Varela on loan from Porto.

The Portuguese international, who has represented his country on 26 occasions, will spend the entire 2014-15 campaign with the Premier League outfit.

The 29-year-old had been strongly linked with a number of European clubs in recent weeks, but the Baggies have won the race for the experienced attacker.

He has become the club's 10th signing of the summer.
