West Bromwich Albion manager Roy Hodgson has pinpointed Marc Antoine-Fortune as one of the best players on the pitch during yesterday's 4-0 win over Sunderland.
Despite not finding the net, Hodgson believes that the striker dealt visiting Sunderland a difficult afternoon.
"Once again the player who will be the unsung hero from Saturday's game is Fortune. If I picked someone out it would be him," said Hodgson. "I thought he was outstanding upfront. It is not easy playing upfront against two quality centre-halfs in John O'Shea and Michael Turner.
"I thought he kept the ball very well for us, ran in behind and is just disappointed he didn't crown his performance with a goal.
"My opinion is he shouldn't be disappointed at all because he played excellently. I thought he gave another fantastic display of front play."
Fortune joined the Baggies in 2010 from Celtic.
