West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has hailed his side's performance in their 3-0 win over Southampton this afternoon as "almost perfect".
Marc-Antoine Fortune, Romelu Lukaku and Shane Long all scored to hand the Baggies a comfortable win over a Southampton side that finished the game with just nine men.
Fortune was also sent off for Steve Clarke's team late on, but the West Brom boss believes that they have been threatening such a high-quality performance for weeks.
"The most important thing is that it was an emphatic point. It was an almost perfect away performance," said Clarke.
"We've become a reactive team of late and it was nice to get the first goal. This is a performance that has been coming for weeks and I'm pleased for players."
The result leaves West Brom eighth in the Premier League table.
