West Bromwich Albion manager Steve Clarke has urged the club to finalise a new deal for Gareth McAuley.
The 33-year-old Northern Ireland international will be a free agent next summer and has yet to agree new terms at The Hawthorns.
"I want him to get the deal he deserves, but it's not my department, I leave that to other people," Clarke told The Sun.
"I'd like to think that Gareth McAuley will be with Albion next season."
McAuley joined West Brom from Ipswich Town in summer 2011.
