Steve Clarke says that his players must take all the credit for their superb early-season form.

West Bromwich Albion boss Steve Clarke has praised his players after they triumphed 2-0 over Everton at The Hawthorns.

Goals from Shane Long and Gareth McAuley earned the Baggies their second win of the Premier League season - both coming against Merseyside opposition.

Clarke played down his role in West Brom's early-season form, and said that his players must take all the plaudits.

"It was pleasing," the Scot told Sky Sports News. "Everton are a tough team. As the game went on we got better and in the second half we went more at their goal.

"All credit has to go to the players - I just pick the team."

West Brom face a trip to Fulham in their next fixture.
