Watford 'join race to sign Max Gradel'

Watford will reportedly compete with Bournemouth for the signing of Saint-Etienne's Max Gradel.

Watford have reportedly become the latest side to express an interest in signing Saint-Etienne winger Max Gradel.

The ex-Leeds United player was believed to be edging towards joining newly-promoted Bournemouth this summer.

However, L'Equipe claims that the Hornets have now entered the race to sign the Ivory Coast international.

Bournemouth are still thought to be in the running for the player, although they have yet to match Les Verts' €10m (£7.2m) asking price.

Gradel scored 19 goals for Saint-Etienne last season.
