Wales boss Chris Coleman: 'Fitness only real positive'

Wales boss Chris Coleman admits that he was disappointed with his team's performance in their 3-0 friendly defeat to Sweden on Sunday afternoon.

Wales boss Chris Coleman has admitted that he was disappointed with his team's performance in their 3-0 defeat to Sweden in Sunday afternoon's international friendly.

The Dragons were well beaten in Solna in their final clash before Euro 2016, but Coleman was pleased that his side did not pick up any injuries, while star player Gareth Bale was also given the final 30 minutes in Sweden.

"We know we can be better than that. In terms of the physical output we got what we wanted. Everybody's walked off the pitch and that was obviously the most important thing ready for next week," Coleman told reporters.

"We've played better, of course. I think we're trying to get used to being in a situation we've never been in. Leaving Cardiff yesterday and all the celebrations – we're doing things that we wouldn't normally do in preparation for a game. But having said that, I won't make any excuses. The boys know they're better than that, we're better than that."

Wales will open their Euro 2016 challenge against Slovakia on June 11.
