Wales manager Chris Coleman has insisted that qualification for Euro 2016 is close to being finalised.

They missed the opportunity to book a place in next summer's finals in France after being held to a goalless draw by Israel on Sunday, meaning that they will now have to wait until their final round of matches next month.

Coleman's men now need a point to seal qualification, and he remains convinced that the team will make it to Wales' first major tournament since 1958.

"It's a shame we didn't do it. It's an anti-climax but a good point. The expectation was that we would win, but now we have to wait longer," he told BBC Sport.

"The players were a little bit disappointed, you could sense it on their faces. We all wanted to do it and make the Welsh public happy.

"They are a bit frustrated but if we do the same again it's over. We only need one point now."

Wales travel to Bosnia-Herzegovina on October 10 before hosting Andorra on October 13.
