Agent: 'Giuseppe Rossi will remain with Villarreal until January'

Rossi 'to stay at Villarreal'
Giuseppe Rossi will remain with Villarreal until at least January, according to his agent.

Italian striker Giuseppe Rossi will remain with Villarreal until at least January, according to his agent.

The 25-year-old is currently sidelined with a knee ligament damage and will be out of action until 2013.

"It seems that Giuseppe will stay at Villarreal for another five months," said Federico Pastorello. "In my opinion, this was the last chance for an Italian club to sign him.

"In January there will be too much competition from foreign clubs for his signature. It's a real shame."

Villarreal are currently playing in the Spanish second division after suffering relegation from La Liga last season.
