Alfred N'Diaye has seemingly moved a step closer to joining Villarreal after reportedly completing a medical with the Yellow Submarine.
The 26-year-old joined Real Betis from Sunderland in 2014 and has made 80 appearances for the Spanish club in all competitions, including 35 during the 2015-16 campaign.
According to Marca, the midfielder, who started his professional career with French side Nancy, has agreed a five-year contract with Villarreal after passing his medical on Friday afternoon.
It is understood that N'Diaye will cost Villarreal in the region of £7.5m.
