Phil Neville has said that he is hopeful of remaining part of the Valencia coaching staff next season.
The former Manchester United, Everton and England full-back arrived at the Mestalla last summer and has since assisted three different head coaches, including his brother Gary.
The future of Pako Ayestaran, who ended the campaign at the helm, is currently uncertain, which in turn has put a question mark on Neville's position.
However, the 39-year-old has revealed that he is keen to carry on in the south of Spain.
"After what we have been through this season, the club is taking its time," he told Sky Sports News.
"They have got to find the right man - whether that is Paco or somebody else - but a new manager brings in his own staff, so my position will not be found out for another week.
"The intention is for me to stay. I have loved it, my family love it and I want to continue the journey I am on."
Los Che finished last season in 12th position, six points above the drop zone.
