Gary Neville gives Valencia players iPads for training

Gary Neville reportedly tackles the language barrier at his new club Valencia with the help of iPads.

Valencia manager Gary Neville has personally invested in iPads for each of his players as he seeks to settle in at the Mestalla, according to reports.

The 40-year-old, who was appointed earlier this month to replace Nuno Espirito Santo, is using the devices to aid in communication with his squad as he gets to grips with the language.

The players can also watch back training sessions thanks to cameras the former Manchester United defender has had installed at their training facility.

"He has given an iPad to each player to help them follow training and different actions during games," Reuters quotes assistant manager Miguel Angel Angulo as saying.

"He is doing better than I expected. I thought the language barrier would be more of a problem. Gary has already started to speak a little Spanish and he is improving quickly. There is a good understanding with the players asking him or me what is wanted.

"It won't take long before we can demonstrate the style of football that we want."

Los Che remain winless under Neville so far, having been ousted from the Champions League by Lyon and drawing with Eibar in La Liga.

The club's next chance to get a victory under their new manager's belt is Wednesday's Copa del Rey second-leg clash against Barakaldo.
