Gary Neville "proud" of Valencia draw

Gary Neville speaks of his pride as he watches his Valencia side battle back to a 1-1 draw at Eibar in his first league game in charge.

Gary Neville has spoken of his pride after securing a draw in his first league game as Valencia manager.

Los Che were forced to battle back from a goal and a man down to earn a share of the spoils at Eibar on Sunday and leave them 10th in La Liga.

"What we saw in the final 20 minutes is the minimum what Valencia should be in every match and that makes me proud," Neville said after the game.

"I think that the Valencia fans who watched the match on the television or here at the stadium would have gone away feeling proud of the team's commitment."

After a Copa del Rey fixture against third-tier side Barakaldo in midweek, Neville's charges welcome Getafe to the Mestalla on Saturday in their final fixture before La Liga's Christmas break.
