Report: Fierce competition for USA star DeAndre Yedlin

Several of Europe's biggest clubs, including Roma and Liverpool, are reportedly vying for USA World Cup star and Seattle Sounders right-back DeAndre Yedlin.

A number of Europe's biggest clubs are believed to be vying for the services of USA right-back DeAndre Yedlin, who was one of the stars of their World Cup campaign.

The 21-year-old stood out during his three appearances at the finals, particularly as a substitute for the equally impressive Fabian Johnson in the last-16 loss to Belgium.

Sky Sports News claims that Italian duo Roma and Napoli, as well as Belgian champions Anderlecht, have all made offers for the Seattle Sounders player, but interest in him does not stop there.

A spokesman for James Grant Group, which represents the player, told reporters: "DeAndre is now back in America following the World Cup, and yes talks are ongoing over his future as there are a number of options for him – but as yet nothing is decided."

Liverpool are also thought to be considering an approach for Yedlin, who has seven international caps, but Roma, who brought in Ashley Cole on Monday, are apparently favourites to sign him.
