Udinese have beaten Inter Milan 1-0 in the Coppa Italia this evening to advance to the quarter-final stage.

Maicosuel's strike was enough for the home side, who managed to survive a late onslaught from the Nerazzurri to advance to the last 16.

Zebrete grabbed their winner just after the half-hour mark when Maicosuel got on the end of a low cross to convert despite Javier Zanetti's best attempts to deny him.

Nicolas Lopez then had a good chance to double the lead before half time, but his well-struck free kick was held by goalkeeper Juan Pablo Carrizo.

After the restart, Ricky Alvarez, Fredy Guarin and Yuto Nagatomo all had chances to level, but each time the home side stood firm to deny Walter Mazzarri's side.
