Fawaz Al Hasawi: 'We've agreed deal to sign Jack Hobbs'

Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi claims that the club are close to completing a deal to sign Jack Hobbs on a permanent basis.

Nottingham Forest chairman Fawaz Al Hasawi has claimed that the club have agreed a deal to sign Jack Hobbs from Hull City on a permanent deal.

The centre-back has spent the first half of the season on loan to Forest from Hull City, who were rumoured to be considering recalling the 25-year-old.

However, Forest appear to have beaten Reading to the transfer following the chairman's latest comments.

"I am delighted to announce that I have just agreed a deal with Hull City's chairman for Hobbs," Al Hasawi posted on Twitter.

Hobbs moved to Hull from Leicester City in June 2011.
