Eric Abidal wants Victor Valdes reunion at AS Monaco

Eric Abidal tells Victor Valdes, his former teammate at Barcelona, to join him at AS Monaco when his deal ends at Camp Nou.

Eric Abidal has told Barcelona goalkeeper Victor Valdes to join him at AS Monaco as he prepares to leave Camp Nou.

Valdes is out of contract at the La Liga champions in the summer and has made it clear that he won't sign an extension.

As a result, he has been linked with a move to the French outfit, where he could reunite with his former teammate Abidal, who moved to Stade Louis II at the start of the season.

"If Valdes has the dream to come and play in Monaco, I will welcome him with open arms," Abidal told Cadena SER.

"I have a room for him in my house and I will help him find a house near me!"

Monaco are currently second in Ligue 1.
