Swansea City announce the signing of Jordi Amat from Espanyol, subject to a medical and international clearance.

Swansea City have agreed to sign Espanyol defender Jordi Amat for £2.5m.

The deal, which the Swans announced on their website this evening, will go through subject to a medical and international clearance.

Amat will sign a four-year deal after agreeing personal terms at the Liberty Stadium.

The 21-year-old has represented Spain at every age group from Under-16 to Under-21 level, and impressed while on loan at Rayo Vallecano last season.

Amat becomes Swansea's second signing of the summer, after Jose Canas agreed a deal to move from Real Betis earlier this month.
