Ki Sung-yueng: 'We should have beaten Sunderland'

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng is adamant that his side created enough chances in the 1-1 draw with Sunderland to take all three points from the match.

Swansea City midfielder Ki Sung-yueng feels that his side should have taken all three points from their Premier League draw against Sunderland.

The Black Cats took the lead in the first half through Jermain Defoe, but the Swans pegged them back in the second half when Ki notched an equaliser with a diving header.

However, Garry Monk's men were left frustrated as they failed to go on to secure the victory at the Liberty Stadium.

Ki told the club's official website: "I don't score many headers, but I managed to get forward more today and that allowed me to be in the right positions to get a goal.

"It was a very good cross from Kyle [Naughton] and it was great goal for me to score. I was a little disappointed we didn't get three points as we were in control and created a lot of chances."

Swansea remain ninth in the Premier League table following their 1-1 stalemate with Sunderland.
