Swansea City defender Jordi Amat sidelined for six weeks

Swansea City defender Jordi Amat is ruled out for six weeks with knee ligament damage.

Swansea City have confirmed that defender Jordi Amat will be out of action for six weeks with a knee injury.

The Spaniard suffered ligament damage on Saturday during his side's 4-2 defeat at Chelsea in the Premier League.

The 22-year-old is due to return from the sidelines at the end of October.

Swansea play their next match this Saturday when they entertain Southampton in the league.
