Sunderland have recalled midfielder Ahmed Elmohamady from his loan spell at Hull City.
The Egyptian international joined the Tigers at the end of August on a season-long loan deal and made 23 appearances, scoring once.
Black Cats boss Martin O'Neill has chosen to use the recall clause in the deal to bolster his squad after a busy period of fixtures over the New Year.
The 25-year-old will re-join a Sunderland side who are currently 14th in the Premier League, six points clear of the relegation zone.
