Sunderland's Gus Poyet picks out January transfer targets

Sunderland head coach Gus Poyet insists that he wants to move quickly in the January transfer window following a meeting with director of football Roberto de Fanti.

Sunderland head coach Gus Poyet has revealed that he has identified his targets for the January transfer window.

The Uruguayan has insisted that he wants to move swiftly when the winter window opens after having talks with director of football Roberto de Fanti.

"We had a very good meeting at the end of last week. Everything is rolling, we can say," BBC Sport quotes Poyet as saying. "We analysed my report on the players we have got here and what I think is needed.

"The idea is to start moving. The sooner we move, the better for me because the sooner you get a player, the better."

Sunderland acquired 14 new players during the summer transfer window under former boss Paolo Di Canio.
