Sebastian Larsson has revealed that he will seek discussions with Sunderland officials over his future this summer.
The 27-year-old has 12 months remaining on his current contract, but has yet to discuss extending his stay at the Stadium of Light with manager Paolo Di Canio.
"I have not thought about the future, I have one year left and have a new coach," the Shields Gazette quotes Larsson as saying. "[The future] could possibly be something to discuss during the summer or at the beginning of next season.
"There have already been a number of changes and it is clear that there will be changes in the squad, particularly because we had an extremely thin squad this year. I felt I got a lot of confidence when he came in, but I do not know his ideas for me for next year, it may emerge."
Larsson has represented the Black Cats since 2011.
