Team News: Jan Kirchhoff returns to Sunderland XI

Jan Kirchhoff returns to the Sunderland XI for Monday's Premier League clash at home to Everton, while Duncan Watmore also starts for the home side.

Jan Kirchhoff has returned to the Sunderland XI for Monday's Premier League clash at home to Everton.

The 25-year-old missed the majority of his team's pre-season preparations due to a hamstring problem, but the defensive midfielder has been handed his first start of the season by new Black Cats boss David Moyes.

The Sunderland team shows two changes from the one that started against Southampton last time out, with Kirchhoff and Duncan Watmore taking the places of Steven Piennar and Fabio Borini, who is injured.

Meanwhile, record signing Didier Ndong will start on the bench for the home side tonight.

As for Everton, Seamus Coleman returns to the team at right-back, while Kevin Mirallas and Yannick Bolasie will once again act as the two supports to lone forward Romelu Lukaku, who is yet to score this season.

Ashley Williams, Ross Barkley and Idrissa Gueye also continue in Ronald Koeman's XI.
