Sunderland recorded their first win of the season this afternoon with an emphatic victory over Stoke City at the Stadium of Light.
The Black Cats were two goals to the good after just 11 minutes of play. First Titus Bramble claimed his first goal of the season, before Jonathan Woodgate put through his own net.
Craig Gardner made it three before the break, scoring from outside the penalty area after collecting a pass from Nicklas Bendtner.
The home side continued to dominate after the break and Sebastian Larsson added a fourth just before the hour mark with a free-kick.
Next up for Sunderland is a trip to Norwich City on Monday, September 26, while Stoke welcome Manchester United to the Britannia Stadium on Saturday afternoon.
