Gus Poyet: 'Sunderland will play to win'

Sunderland manager Gus Poyet says that his side will be playing to win when they face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League.

Gus Poyet has said that Sunderland will play to win when they face West Bromwich Albion in the Premier League tomorrow evening.

Both teams can still mathematically be relegated, but a draw would ensure that both avoid the drop this season.

The manager told the club's website: "We will be playing to win. As we always say, the result is a consequence of the performance.

"The idea is not to play or start the game with a draw in our heads, not at all. We will go for the win first."

Sunderland have won their last three matches.
