Simon Grayson one game from sack at Sunderland?

Sunderland boss Simon Grayson is reportedly one game away from losing his job at the Stadium of Light after a torrid start to the season.

Sunderland have reportedly decided to sack manager Simon Grayson if the club do not beat Bolton Wanderers on Tuesday night.

During the summer, Grayson replaced David Moyes in the dugout at the Stadium of Light and had initially started the Championship campaign with five points from three games.

However, the Black Cats have gone 12 matches without success at the second tier and according to the Daily Star, the club's hierarchy are prepared to make a change.

Despite Grayson only being at the helm since June 29, failure to beat bottom-of-the-table rivals Bolton will allegedly lead to the former Preston North End boss being removed from his role after just 18 matches.

Sunderland currently sit in 23rd place in the standings, while defeat on Tuesday evening would see the North-East club occupy bottom spot.
