Stuttgart chairman: 'Thomas Schneider's job is safe'

Stuttgart chairman Bernd Wahler insists that Thomas Schneider and Fredi Bobic will not be sacked despite the club's poor run of form.

Stuttgart chairman Bernd Wahler has insisted that manager Thomas Schneider's and general manager Fredi Bobic's jobs are not under threat.

The Bundesliga outfit have endured a tough season, lying in 14th place in the table, two points above the drop zone, but Wahler is adamant that there will be no managerial changes.

"My trust in Thomas Schneider and Fredi Bobic is undaunted, we are standing firm to our plans and our idea for the future of this club," Sky Sports News quotes him as saying.

"We are aware of our situation in the league and of course it's disastrous, there is no doubt about it.

"We are ahead of important weeks and matches. There are fourteen matches left this season. Those fourteen matches are to be like cup finals for us."

Stuttgart take on Hoffenheim away from home in the league this weekend.
