Stoke City have announced that they have agreed personal terms with Rangers midfielder Maurice Edu.
The American international has been expected to leave Ibrox ever since the Glasgow club were demoted to the fourth tier of Scottish football.
Rangers boss Ally McCoist revealed last week that Championship side Ipswich Town had tabled an offer for the 26-year-old.
However, it seems that the midfielder will be plying his trade in the Premier League as long as he passes a medical over the weekend before gaining a work permit.
