Stoke City agree deal to sign Hull City defender Josh Tymon?

Stoke City reportedly agree a contract with Hull City defender Josh Tymon ahead of completing the transfer next week.

Hull City defender Josh Tymon has reportedly agreed to sign a contract with Stoke City.

Earlier this month, Stoke chief executive Tony Scholes revealed that the Potters were interested in taking the 18-year-old to the bet365 Stadium.

Tymon played 325 minutes of Premier League football for the Tigers last season, but he remained available for transfer due to not penning his first professional deal with his current club.

According to The Mirror, he has decided to leave Hull in favour of remaining in the top flight with Stoke, and the transfer will be confirmed in the coming days.

The development is a major blow for Hull, with previous managers Mike Phelan and Marco Silva giving the England Under-18 international four starts during their run to the EFL Cup semi-finals.
