Team News: Seven changes for Newcastle United

Newcastle United make seven changes to their starting XI for the game with Stoke City this afternoon.

Alan Pardew has made seven changes to the Newcastle United side that drew with Anzhi Makhachkala on Thursday for the Magpies' Premier League clash with Stoke City this afternoon.

Rob Elliot will continue in goal, while Mapou Yanga-Mbiwa, Yohan Cabaye and Moussa Sissoko also keep their places.

Steven Taylor, Jonas Gutierrez and Papiss Cisse are among those coming into the much-changed starting lineup.

Meanwhile, the Potters have made just one change following their loss to West Ham United last weekend.

Geoff Cameron comes into the Stoke defence in place of Michael Kightly, who is named on the bench alongside Michael Owen, who returns from injury.

Newcastle United: Elliot, Debuchy, Taylor, Yanga-Mbiwa, Santon, Tiote, Cabaye, Gutierrez, Sissoko, Gouffran, Cisse

Stoke City: Begovic, Cameron, Wilson, Shawcross, Wilkinson, Shotton, Whelan, Nzonzi, Walters, Crouch, Jerome
