Stoke City midfielder Dean Whitehead was impressed with the performances of new signings Peter Crouch and Wilson Palacios during Saturday's 1-0 win over Liverpool.
Striker Crouch started the match, while Palacios entered the action as a second half substitute. Whitehead witnessed enough to believe that both will play a major part for the Potters this season.
"His [Crouch] touch is phenomenal and in the air he is very dangerous. He won the header which led to the penalty so that was vital for us," Whitehead told the club's official website.
"Wilson too, he came on and made a couple of superb challenges to break things up when Liverpool were chucking absolutely everything at us.
"Both of them and Cameron Jerome are superb signings for us and they will all play a massive part this season, I'm certain of that."
Whitehead joined Stoke in 2009 from Sunderland.
