Stoke City captain Ryan Shawcross has praised manager Mark Hughes for the impact he has had on the squad this season.
Hughes took charge of the Potters in summer 2013 before guiding the team to a top-10 finish in the Premier League table.
Shawcross has now credited the Welshman for giving the players a "new impetus" during the campaign.
"Since the manager arrived, his style of play has given the squad a new impetus and most of the lads, including myself, have improved throughout the year and that has shown throughout this season," the defender is quoted as saying by Goal.com.
Stoke finish their season on Sunday when they travel to West Bromwich Albion.
