Mark Hughes has suggested that Stoke City missed a chance to claim all three points in their goalless draw with Newcastle United at St James' Park.
Jack Butland was once again the hero for the Potters as he produced a number of impressive saves in the second half to prevent Newcastle from making the breakthrough.
However, Hughes believes that his side could have been ahead earlier in the game had they shown more of a clinical edge in the final third of the pitch.
"We were a bit frustrated in the first half. We had plenty of possession around their area but didn't look like we wanted to shoot," the Stoke boss told BBC Sport. ""Their keeper made a great save from Jon Walters.
"As the away team you are going to give away a couple of chances and when we did, Jack Butland saved."
The draw has left Stoke occupying 14th spot in the Premier League.
