Ryan Shawcross, Mame Biram Diouf available to face Watford

Stoke City manager Mark Hughes confirms that Ryan Shawcross and Mame Biram Diouf are both in consideration for the Premier League match against Watford.

Mark Hughes has revealed that Ryan Shawcross and Mame Biram Diouf are both available for Stoke City's match against Watford in the Premier League this weekend.

The club's captain is yet to feature this season, having undergone back surgery over the summer, while Diouf has been on compassionate leave following the death of his mother.

The manager told the club's website: "They are both certainly in my thoughts but we have three games coming up this week so that will play a part in the decision I make too.

"Ryan came through another 90 minutes for the Under-21 side on Monday evening and has trained with the rest of the group this week, so he is certainly in the picture for tomorrow's game. Mame has reported back too after what has been, and still is, a very difficult period for him, and to be honest he hasn't trained a great deal, but he is fit.

"He is one that we will look at in training today, and if he comes through that okay and feels right mentally then he, like Ryan, will certainly be in my thoughts."

Stoke have won their last three Premier League fixtures, leaving them 11th in the table.
