Stoke City striker Peter Crouch has admitted that he is willing to play for the England national team once again.
The 31-year-old is eager to make amends with coach Roy Hodgson after snubbing his offer to feature for the Three Lions in pre-Euro 2012 friendly internationals against Norway and Belgium.
"It wasn't a case of being a standby," Crouch is quoted as saying in The Daily Mail. "He wanted me to play in one of the friendlies and then go home.
"I'll be honest, I was bitterly disappointed not to be in the squad for the Euros and I think understandably so. We had a conversation but that should remain private between me and the manager.
"Of course, playing for my country is the best thing I've ever done in my career and I will never rule that out. If I get a chance again I'll grab it with both hands."
Crouch played for England at the 2006 and the 2010 World Cup finals.
